big girl room!

Miss Petyl my lovely child learned how to get out of her crib...and she decided to become a pro at it in 2 days. So pro that even when I pushed the crib to the wall where she was shimmying down she still managed to get out and get stuck between crib and wall. So I knew safety wise it was necessary to move.

I cleaned up the new room and brought all her Petyl stuff in. It looked like a nice toddler room. And she liked it. I was dreading night time tho! I wanted her to be real sleepy and ready for this big night. So we watched some wow wow wubzy(her favorite if you didnt know). Then we had a little snack of cereal. took a warm bath. brushed teeth. got snugly in some jammies. read a book. at 10:30pm i laid her down...and. she CRIED! got out of bed. banged on the door. turned the lights on. jumped in the bed. played with puzzles. spilled humidifier water.

UGH it was not going well. so i re assessed the situation. cleaned up some of the mess. moved some things around. and then I laid on the lower trundle part of the bed while she laid in her bed.
        
****note: anyone who knows me knows how against this i am. i am not one that sleeps with their child until the fall asleep. i want my baby to comfort herself and not depend on me being there for her to feel safe to sleep.

I thought this might work tho and was desperate... she was staying in bed tappin her nose with her blankie closing her eyes being a good girl. It had been a while with no sound and little movement. I decided i would make my escape. I maneuvered my BIG belly down to the floor without moving the bed too much. got on all fours and sneaked to the door. I did a little peak at my precious babe and then squeezed out. I ran to the monitor to see her still laying in her bed. YES i thought, it worked.

I was wrong! 2 mins later i heard her cute little whisper "mommy? where are you?" then she got up and came to the door knocking! did I mention it was now almost 12:30AM! so I went in not knowing a plan. she threw her binkie and blanket and said bye bye and blew them a kiss. so i went with it. I said Oh you dont want them okay i will just take them out. I threw them in the hall and she said NOO and gave me her infamous evil eyebrows. then she pointed to her diaper and said Pee. so i told her we would change it and then it was bedtime. As I laid her back in bed she asked for her covers. I covered her up kissed her head and walked out. I watched her on the monitor for a while before it sank in but the little stinker fell fast asleep!!! after all that crazyness that is what worked! and I didnt have to lay with her I didnt have to sneak out I just did the norm minus the baby crib! It was pure awesome! 

Now this is a happy ending but I have to share what happened next.

In all my mommy happiness I went down stairs to get a drink only to drop the WHOLE bottle of apple juice breaking the lid and spilling all over the kitchen! the stickiness was not going to be okay so I mopped the floor and then went to bed angry but happy all at the same time.

Oh the joys of motherhood!

p.s. tonight P went to bed at 9:30 and it was a normal routine...now if only we can get her to nap in there......another challenge to conqour...stay tuned!

Goals/To Do before baby arrives

Okay so it is spring and i really want to clean up my whole house. I have had a good start in organizing everything but then i started to slack and it is piling up again..and there are still things i want to DO! So i am going to blog this bad boy so i feel more accountable or something...

1. Clean/ Organize the garage
2. make trustan go thru his clothes that do not fit him
3. Clean out petyl closet and clothes
4. Move petyl stuff to big girl room and organize haylo room
5. Commit to Potty Training! (she is so ready and i am being lazy!)
6. Plant SOMETHING in the yard...so it looks prettier! im thinking wild flowers..they can grow with the rest of the weeds but look nicer!
7. Have a yard sale (with all the cleaning out I should have a nice bunch to make some money off of!)
8. Hang pictures so it looks like a real family lives in this home!
9. Scrapbook the life of Petyl...and then some!
10. Move Petyl to big girl room(and big girl BED!...or find a crib someone wants to donate to my cause)


Ok i think that is all for now..i am sure i will walk in to another room and see that there is more things to add to this list but its a good start right! and now i have made the list so i will start to do things on it..Promise!

EYEBROW THREADING

mm k so I really wanted to try this eyebrow threading thing that they do at the mall u know. So I have been growing these beasts out so that they could really be shapped and it would be worth it ya know. I have been growing them for like 2 months. That is a long time ya know! i mean these things were getting caterpillarish. Today had to be the day. I needed to end the crazyness. So I went in to get em done. Let me tell u it doesnt look painful but man it does NOT feel good! Waxing doesnt feel good either but its like bing bang ur done. This is like an inbetween tweezing and waxing cuz its like a lot of tweezing at once. It hurt. My eyes were a watering. But I do have to say there was no reddness that u get when u wax. So that is a plus. Anyways check out my pics...i have a before during and an after for u. And if u were thinking about going in to have some threading done then now u kno it is not pain free but the results are nice. I still think next time i will go back to waxing!

Books

I decided that I love to read but sometimes it's hard for me to decide what to read unless I have a purpose for reading it. The last time I really read was the Twilight Series and that was also motivated by all the other friends I had reading and tlakin about the books etc.. and before that I dont even remember. But I never know what to read either..I feel like there are all these books we are "suposed" to read or should read and I want to read them! So I starting looking up lists of books to read before you die..top books..etc. I found A LOT of books. But I settled on one list.

Newsweek posted the top 100 books: The Meta List. It is a list made from all the other lists. I liked it cuz it was recent(the article was from June 29,2009). It has a good variety too...theres fiction and non fiction..theres stories I have heard of and some I havent. It seemed like a good fit. My plan was to start at the bottom and work my way to the top. Number 100 happens to be The Second World War by Winston Churchill a 6 book series! EW! is this a test? Ugh well I decided that there are a few series' on the list so I could at least read the first book to start and then go from there. I searched for the first book and the Phx library only has it online and that is no fun. Peoria and Glendale have it but I will have to pay for it and that is also no fun! So my good friend Sarah Raber is going to get it for me from her library...so I will wait.

Today however I was substituting an amazing 6th grade class and they were too good so I had to busy myself with the teachers books..where I saw The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I knew this was on my list.. I also know that I read this book in grade school but need a refresher. So during class I read the first 7 chapters and then continued when I got home with my personal copy and now have 20 pages to go. So I guess i am on my way. Note-Number 41 is ya know The Holy Bible. That may take some time... Anyways this is my new adventure. I am going to do it. I dont know how long it will take..but I will do it. Then I am going to post after each read. Gassolina

So today i got up early to drive to surprise and pick up my friend Sarah so I could take her to the airport. I was so sleepy but she was buying me breakfast so it was worth it. I had to get gas so went to the nearest chevron thats right by my house. I pump the gas and sit in the car cuz its  cold. When the gas is done pumping I get out and pull the handle to put it away only i was holding the gas pump handle down. I sprayed EVERYWHERE! luckily it mostly got on my car and the ground or so I thought. I got back in the car and other than feeling so  stupid I was afraid from the fumes I would be making my baby stupid too! I thought ugh I am just going to roll the windows down and turn the hear up and breath into my arm...well i picked my right arm and took a big breath...ALL GAS! ugh it gagged me. I took my sweater off and wadded it up and threw it in the back. It didnt help too much because the whole  car was a gas chamber. I finally made it to Olive and Citrus or the white tank mountains  and the smell was still overwhelming if I didnt leave the windows down. Sarah hooked me up with a new sweater and a bag for the tainted one. This made the rest of the trip fabuloso but man it stunk at first!

lazy lunch turns messy

SO i tried to be good and feed petyl yummy vggie and noodle soup so that she could get some vitamins in her and whatever...but I was a little lazy so instead of pulling up the high chair i let her sit and eat on the counter. WELL Petly will only eat the amazing veggies in the soup if i feed them to her with a cracker. SO as i am feeding her she asks for her drink which she still calls baba even tho it is a sippy cup. It was on the floor behind us i said ok dont move and i will get it. SHE then reached for the crackers on the other side of the full soup bowl. THEN...

That last pic here is after she tried to run thru..slipped and fell because she wanted to help clean so bad..so now her pants are off and she is "helping"

SOLD

Yea I sold the business...uhm it was crazy and you need to have money and knowledge of the business world to keep up on those types of adventures but its okay we sold it on CRAIGSLIST! ha can you believe it Craigslist is amazing! but this awesome family came in and scooped it up and is going to be able to make IA so much better!

SO NOW i am a 23 year old prego, mom, and wife who has a bachlors and HAS owened a business..still sounds accomplished right! I am going to try and substitute now... which is scarry but might be good. I appled at Glendale and they said they needed people and would call me but i havent heard so i am going to call tomorrow..then my friend wants me to sub for her so i need to fill out the app for the Diosis of Phoenix. but who knows what will happen. I will keep you posted FO SHO!

GOOD NEWS about Trustan tho..he got in to his classes he wanted at GCC he was waitlisted on one and finally got in..which is awesom cuz its a good schedule even tho he is taking Chem and Bio at the same time..but that was his choice! CRAZY! I hated Science..so yea hopefully he does well cuz i cant help him with those classes at all. So yea next semester is going to be fun stuff!

Petyl is amazing as always..she loves the christmas lights on peoples houses and we taught her to look fo rthem and now when she cant see any she just yells MORE MORE MORE until we see more. but its so awesome!

Little bug in my belly is doing great too! I think i mean ight now its hard to say cuz i dont know much but i go to the doc again on the 23rd and that is so exciting! i think we might find out the sex..but i dont know for sure...I have started to feel little movements which make it so fun! I cant wait till my belly moves and then we can show petyl..she might not get it tho but oh well its still exciting!

So yea i guess that is the update for now I will write more SOON
