google shmoogle!

first of all HALLOWEEN IS LAME now...or just people are i dunno we only had 2 trick or treaters! and i missed them both! that is so stupid but yea! anyways that is not the reason for my post. but i guess it did lead to it ..you see i was pretty bored waiting for lil princess' and monsters that never came so after laying petyl down i was called to the computer like i usually am. nothing real intersting to look at so i decided to google my name. First of all when i googled my maiden name Christine Young all that comes up is a 19 year old canadian porn star. nothing on the real me. Then i googled Christine Rowlan and you know what came up first. BRIESONS BLOG! and then after that it tries to find Christine RowlanD but that is not me so i dont care. then when i scroll down a few i finaly see me on a face book link. but get this it is all in German. I know because there was a "translate this" button and i clicked it and it translated to english and it was my face book. isnt that strange....why does y facebook come up german? weird!

anyways that is all for now. I am going to read my twilight book whichever one it is.....buenas noches or good night

THE ROWLAN

Now I cam across this book about different families. a girl read it in class. and there are any mixed families, biracial, single parent, adopted etc. there was one completly caucasian family in the whole book. and whos family do you think it was???

its the ROWLANS! even forest is in this dang picture! I couldnt believe it. I would have shaed sooner but until recently my only two folowers were Brieson and Shelly and now I have 9 people(THANK YOU FOR JUMPING ON BOARD!) anyways i know that well all of you are either from the Rowlans or know them and can agree that this is their family.

I mean i did find a few errors that make the pic slightly unaccurate.

1-trustan would never have hair that long

2-brieson is younger than carissa

3 carissa is not a twin.

but really if you switched the boy and girl around it is a perfect match!

a little deep

so there is this video and it is soo good everytime i watch it i get chills it is very visual i guess ! just wanted to share

the classroom from HECK!

it's a long one!

Backround:

So in case no one knew I am a student at NAU distance learning at PVCC. I am going to school for Early Childhood Education which will enable me to teach preschool through 3rd grade. Each semester we have been required to do 45 observation hours in a classroom. We call this the "practicum". I am in my last semester of classess and starting in January I will begin student teaching (which is where i am actually like the teacher and she/he just watches me and helps etc..)

I really do love going in the classroom. It makes me feel like okay i do want to do this still! it makes writing essays and going to class all worth it. As soon as i hit the front office i get excited. Like the smell of playground sand puts me at ease. I feel at home and I really truely cannot wait to have my own class one day. HOWEVER, I know it will not always be easy and scary classrooms remind me of that!

Present:

So I started my practicum yesterday for this semester(i am somewhat of a procrstinator on these things..so i have to do 45 hours by Dec. 5) I was only in the classroom with students yesterday for an hour and then i did all my interview stuff with the teacher during prep. In just that hour I observed that this class did not have a very firm classroom managment plan in place. At one point the teacher was running after two students barking "if you want your jelly bean you better be good"

Today:

I was a little worried but excited because I always get excited when I go in the classroom! So today I started off again. I was determined to be positive and learn as much as I could! ugh but this class is CRAZY! so the teacher has centers (which i think are soo good for learning) but they were either not functioning or what i feel as developmentally inapropriate.

The listening center didnt work yet the teacher rotated kids there anyways. So i went to investigate all the tangled cords and headphones. I got everything back in order and the kids were on task.

Then I went to check out the writing center. Which was students sitting on the carpet writing their site words on white boards..none of them were really doing it or at least they didnt fully understand what they were writing.

Then the Individual work center caught my attention. The students were to fill in these little boxed letter spaces with the correct words...i dont know how to explain it unless i show you so here is a pic....do not laugh i made it in Paint! So anyways the idea was to fit the correct words in the boxes and then match with the pictures. I DO NOT THINK KINDERGARTE SHOULD BE DOING THIS! i mean most of them didn't understand that it actually made words they were just trying to fill in the boxes and draw lines. and the other half would just sit there and be like "I dunno". The teacher even looked up and said to me that if it's to hard they can flip the page and just color. BUT! when she had explained the centers to everyone she said "(AND I QUOTE!) The individual work center is for all my SMART students to do" I swear she said that so what am i suposed to say "oh dont worry kid i know you cant do it it's only for the smart students." NO! So I turned individual work in to a small group and we knocked it out..sorta.

So each time the centers were to switch I would go get the listening center up and running and then i would go to the individual work center to help them. It was kinda stressful and I havent even got to the good stuff yet!

So think back to my first visit yesterday when te teacher was running screamin about jelly beans. Well there are two students on individual contracts to help them with their discipline throughout the day(which is why they get jelly beans(I still do not think this is good but whatever..)if it worked great BUT IT DOES NOT!) so anyways these two are very cute and smart children BUT OMG do they need some discipline BADDDLY! so of course during math I am sat at a table with the two lovely boys wo are crazy and these two girls who really are okay just a little slower at the math. but all together itwas awful! they were all feeding off of eachother and it was whole group math so even though i was sitting with them it was suposed to be the teacher teaching. One boy sitting with the group was refusing to do his work. When I asked him to "show me how you can color in 5 red fish" he told me "NO, I am not doing it." Then I said that he had to do it or woud lose free time and he told me "You're not the boss of me" he also threw in that "I hate you" and proceded to throw his rubber braclet at my HEAD! so as you can see this was going so wonderful! the teacher came over to check on everyone and the girls were kind of making it through and she seemed to almost not even notice how bad the boys were being. I was a little overwhelmed mostly because it is hard when your just the helper and you dont really know where your line is in disciplining the students. UGH so i tried a few things and he eventually got up and was standing behind the teacher playing with her papers and acting out.

After math it was time for lunch.... WHEW!

I went to shellys to have lunch and break with Petyl. It did recharge me a little bit...

When I came back to school the kids were coming in from their specials and the boy(who hated me) came up and gave me a big sweaty hug....now you have to know i was thinking BIPOLAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ugh whatever so they did there story and fun centers (again with the boy running to all different centers and the other boy crying in the middle of the room fo like 5 minutes before being taken to another classroom) then at the end during clean up uhm the boy that hates and loves me RAN i mean RAN out of the classroom! I didnt even see him but the teacher all of a sudden ran after him. Then the boy for the rest of the day continued to be crazy throwing his shoes getting up and moving a table in the middle of circle....it was WILD!

Now after this whole experience you have to be wondering about this teacher....she told me she has been a teacher for 12 years. And i knew this was in no way possible i mean if that had been happening for 12 years she would be dead literally. Turns out it is her second year in the classroom she had been a resource teacher so basically she dd a lot of one on one all day.

It really gave me a great visual of why building classroom managment is the most important thing and that it must be done right in the begining. I really feel for the teacher because she has good ideas and she is trying but failing horribly on the discipline end. I do look forward to going back just because it is always good to learn what not to do! but i must say i am a little nervous about bipolar boy....
hopefully one day i will be like Harry Wong(like the king of classroom managment) and this will never be an issue

a cute story about the day to end on:

a little girl came up to me and asked "are you a teacher or a mommy or a kid?"

I said, "Well I am going to be a teacher and I am a mommy too"

and she said "Oh I thought you were a kid."

Then all the other ones around me started whispering "Oh shes a mommy" and

another girl said "do you have a boyfriend"

I said, "Nope i have a husband tho."

then another girl asked "do you have a boy or a girl?"

"girl"

"what is her name"

"Petyl"

"Pedal is what you do on a bike!"

"No her name is petyl like a flower PETAL"

"OHHH, okay"

they were all SOO cute even Bipolar! I LOVE KIDS! even when they're crazy.....

fatty

So today i babysat mr carson and it was fun we went to the park and it was nice out so that was amzing. but it was a little windy and i swear everyone planting there winter grass left a distinct poo-ish smell in the air. hmm anyways then i took petyl on the swing and she LOVED it she was laughin and watching carson swing and she was squeling it was so fun it made my day! when we got back from the park petyl smelled funny like the poo-ish air had tainted her! so we gave her a cute little bath and then she took a THREE hour nap she crashed out on Carsons bed...she always sleeps good over there because it is dark quiet and cool in his room and it's way away from everything so she goes like in to deep sleep. but anyways then i made carson lunch and i started to get SOO hungry! but i was hungry for olive garden breadsticks! to try and feed this cravin i began to eat EVERYTHING in sight! some of carsons corn dog, easy mac alfredo thng, a sugar cookie, a piece of bread with butter, some peaches(also from carsons lunch) an oatmeal cream cookie, some almonds and some chocolate covered rasins...all of this to satisfy those amazing breadsticks which can only be done by eating amazing breadsticks! It was horrible!!i was soo full and unsatisfied it was awful and now i just have to get some BREADSTICKS!

bailamos - we dance

tonight we(sam and I) took the jazz class at the commuity center and listen we were excited. and a little scared cuz it has been a while ya know. So we arived, first in the class and alone with the teacher, she looked like an old classy balerina. this made me a little more scared for about 3 more minutes. So then the rest of the class filed in,you could tell they all thought they were amazing which is fine i think i am amazing too( never as amazing as the oh so great shelly rowlan but with the commeners i feel much more confident) but they were kinda rude like oh you guys are starting late, we already learned a whole dance you will have to learn it all....but then we began.

I was really looking forward to an amazing choreographed stretch but no there was none of that just a few leg stretches on the wall. then we did some turns and kicks.... there was this girl in there with my same name(how convienant!) and when the teacher had us line up she was all "I always go first, i dont care i like to" oh boy she was no good it was kinda sad but whatever we even did chaseys across the floor 8 times....it is like the most basic thing...i mean she could have thrown in a chasey leap but no...no leapage tonight :(

so yea then we moved on to the dance(which they have been practicing for 6 weeks) so i was a little worried this is there dance next week is the las class and so it should be pretty much complete right....well we start and it was so BORING. it was like to this song that sounded like a battle song from star wars and all we did was kick kick pivit chasey 3 chaneys and then pose. then chasey fan kick chaney chaney pique pose clap then some weird gypsy thing that didnt match anything then an end group pose. sam and i learned the whole dance tonight and the teacher kept looking at us ithink she was like oh they can dance and maybe she got excited ran home and is making amazing dance things for us to do next week...we will see! The other girls i think came down from there pedistals as well asking us if we had danced before and they were all pretty nice...except the weird girl who shares my name! but yea the rest were chill so yea

In conclusion I gotta say the whole ordeal just left me disatisfied! it was like when you feel like you're going to sneeze and then you start working one out and then all of a sudden it disapears and you feel like ugh i just want to sneeze. thats how it felt but for me it was like ugh I JUST WANT TO DANCE! i mean it was fun jut to be doing SOMETHING but this was not the jazz dance i love and am used to. oh well i just think it was for super beginers. so i am still on the search for an amazing dance class....like Erin's at PVCC. next semester i think i will for sure be taking that one....but i will be student teaching UGH i dunno ......... i need to DANCE!

radom thought expanded

So our little neighbr girl has a new man in her life and i do not like him. i mean i dont know him but i dont like him. Today, like many other days, he was sitting in front of their house jammin out to some rap music. which whatever but he was sitting out there from approximentally 2pm(could have been as early as 1 but the exact arrival time is unkonwn) until after 8pm! now normally i may see these and think 'wow what a loser' but then i would go on with my life. Today was a differnt kind of day! the lil child of mine decided to pass out around 6pm and i felt a nap creepin in. since this is not a normal occurance these days i took advantage and ran to the bedroom. as i drifted in and out of sleep i realized there was a distinct vibration waking me each time. Since this was definitly affecting my nap i gave up and sluggishly went down stairs. sitting at the table defeated I realized the vibrating of our entire house was coming from the stupid boyfriends car! I snuck to the gate so i could peek. sure enough my theory was confirmed when i saw him. he was still out there! what a lame-o the girl wasnt even with him. i tried to think of a way to get him to leave without getting involved...it occured to me that Shellys flame throwes would have come in handy at a time like this. then soon after to my surprise the vibrating ceased and thr boy was gone. i will keep you updated on these sightings but in the meanwhile could some one please find me the loitering law and see if it applys in this sinario.

Que Picaro!

which means what a rascal! (but you need asento things on top of the e and i)

but whatever the point here is that i just did 2 hours of spanish because i am a procrastinista and everything is due tomorrow...i still have two speaking actividades but i am skipping out on that for ahora(now) ugh i wish i was just fluent and it was just a natural thing ya know like oh i have brown eyes is a natural thing....i could just be like bam Hablo espanol. but well i dont so much so it is LOTS of work!

and u wanna here the most amazing part of this random tale.

while working on the LONG writting actividad it was like 15 sentences about these pictures and writing in past tense. so i was jamming out this amazing parafo(paragraph) and then it was finished and i hit the submit and then the screen disapered with my words and said "computer time out if this happens often please call X-XXX-XXX-XXXX. there could be a problem with your browser." i was SOOO mad! and a little discouraged i went on and completed the rest of the writing assigments and had decided i just was not going to do that one and i didnt care about the puntos(points) for it but then i knew it was an amazing paragraph that i had thought of so i went back and started over!

either way this just prooves that the internet is stupid! remember that when typing up a storm...

maybe you should write it in a word doc. first and then submit...

maybe that is the smart way to go!

garden comedians and grocery lesbians

SO! after petly's horrific doctor appointment i was in need of some major refresments so me and the stylist aka Ms. Sam went to olive garden for a nice peaceful lunch. Then toout disapointment the table behind sam was full o fthre obnoxious laughers. i mean i a not kidding these women thought they were funny when the one dirctly behind sam would let outher cackel the whole booth would shake. it was very distracting and out right rude. i mean if first of all you are going to try and put out that you areso hillarious actually be talking about something hillarious. In a normal evesdropping sort of way we discovered that they were actually busting up about some pretty borin stuff.

after the bill and mints were delevered we high tailed it to the car to escape the hienas and headed to Frys for some grocery shopping

I must say most of this excurssion was pretty uneventful exept he relevation sam and i had upon departure... we shopped like normal but i a gladsam was there because the lil giant was wantng lots of attention that sitting in the car seat just wouldnt give her. So sam carried wile i pushed and picked things out. There was a small incedent in the bathroom (which i had to run to after all the peach tea from olive garden) I was trying to clean my hands like normal healthy pople should and the stupid automatic paper towel despenser would NOT give me anything. it was very frustrating and i had to leave with drippy drop fngers. The second event was def. very small in comparision to te finale bt still a good conversation piece. We turnd down the isle for the canned tuna and three woman where huddled up talking about John McCain's wifey saying how she i a big druggie and "how would any one want that as the next first lady" apparently one woman wasa nurse and had an inside story to the life of Mrs. McCain's drug abuse times over seas. Either way sam and I found it pretty funny..wishing I was wearing a "Nobama Mama - keep your change" shirt...we moved along defeated....

Anyways as check out began we took a fewlooks around to see lots of curious people staing we realized that it truly looked like some modern day lesbians with our adopted or implanted baby. We got many stares and an odd ora surrounded us as we shopped. All I haveto say is that it is pretty sick and disgusting that the way things are now with all the homo's running around people automatically asume something freaky must be going on instead of a normal girl friend shop!

THE 100 FOOT BABY

So first of all my kid is soo stinking cute..but i think we have a problem on our hands!

Today was Petyl 's 4 month check up even though today she is 5 months od(itwas as soon as i could get in okay!) anyways so everytime you go in and they weight and measure and all that jazz. Well after measuring lil P the nurse Michael compared petyl's stats with the percentiles on the page...after a minute of calculations a confused and then amazed look filled michaels face...petyl was off the charts for heght.. and you know at first it was quite exciting...i saw images of free college from high school scholorships for basketball or vollyball, i saw Tyra Banks giving adult petyl tips on how to really pop her fierce eyes...but then it hit me... SHE IS A GIANT!!!

now maybe you the average reader do not see this as such an issue. I however the mother am a little worried..... what if she turns in to one of those monsters in old scarry movies..the 100 foot woman or whatever. what if i have to buy whole elephants just to satisfy her hunger.....and i dont even want to think about the size of the crock pot i would need to make elephant roast! my poor child is going to be a bahemiath beast if we dont do something...but what can we do??

please help me!

or one day this could be her....
